A federal high court has again arrested the Chairman of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, for abuse of court and his commission’s failure to comply with the bait order.

Justice Chizoba Oji, in his judgement, said, “The Chairman of the Economic Corruption Eradication Commission (EFCC) has ignored the order of this honorable court which it issued on November 21 , in 2018, where she ordered the War and Economic Commission, Abuja to return his Range Rover car to the applicant. “After he continued to defy the order of the court on purpose, he was imprisoned in Kuje prison for his disobedience, and he continued to defy the order of the court on November 21, 2018, until he acquit himself of contempt of court, said the judge

The Inspector General of Police will ensure that the order of this honorable court is implemented,” the judge said.

Justice Orji rejected the arguments presented by the lawyer to the EFCC, Francis Jirbo, to justify the action taken by his client.
